The 2010 Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Fellowship: Environmental and policy solutions for the prevention of obesity and type 2 diabetes

The Dr. Robert C. and Veronica Atkins Center for Weight and Health at the University of California at Berkeley is recruiting a post-doctoral fellow who will explore environmental solutions to the obesity epidemic. The postdoctoral fellow will evaluate community-based initiatives designed to support changes in nutrition and physical activity at the community level and will evaluate the implementation of current California legislation to improve school nutrition. The postdoctoral fellow will develop skills in policy evaluation and community intervention research.
The salary for this position is $37,400 – $43,500 plus benefits.

Applicants must have a recent PhD with a background in nutrition or public health; have completed doctoral training in fields related to community health, prevention, nutrition and physical activity, and/or public policy; strengths in writing and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including SAS and SPSS.
