The Swimming and Water Safety Section (SWSS) offers a convenient and simple way for prospective swimming instructors to apply for work in the Interm and VacSwim swimming programs.

NB: Online Interm applications may only be made for Metropolitan centres. Most country Interm applications may be made through a local primary school. Online VacSwim applications may be made for all metropolitan and country centres.
For instructors who have previously been employed by the Department, the system allows access to an account of your record by using your unique Department ID number, Surname and Date of Birth to log in. (more…)
The NSW Regional Dentistry Scholarship is available to assist a student from regional New
South Wales offset the costs of commencing dentistry studies at an approved university in
Australia. The scholarship is designed to assist a student with strong links to regional
communities to train for a professional dental career in regional New South Wales.
The scholarship will be awarded to a student commencing the first year of an accredited
Australian dentistry degree in 2010. The duration of the scholarship is one year.
The NSW Regional Dentistry Scholarship is supported by The Nationals Senator for New
South Wales, Senator John Williams, and is administered by the National Rural Health

Two Margaret E Pank Nursing Scholarships will be offered for a two year period to students enrolled full time in the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing program, and living in the areas of Salisbury and Playford. Applicants must provide evidence of financial hardship and a supporting statement with their application demonstrating why they should be awarded the Margaret E Pank Nursing Scholarship. The scholarships will be awarded on financial hardship, academic merit and performance at an interview.
Value: Each recipient will receive $2,000 annually for two years. (more…)

The Margaret E Pank Nursing and Midwifery Study Assistance Scholarship has been established through a gift from the Pank family. Six scholarships will be offered for a two year period for students enrolled full time in the first year of the Bachelor of Nursing or the Bachelor of Midwifery programs. Applicants must provide evidence of financial hardship and a supporting statement with their application demonstrating why they should be awarded the Scholarship.
