The project
The prime objective of this research is to develop and evaluate a new concept for online clinical dosimetry of cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy with radioactive sources (so-called brachytherapy).
The key idea is to conduct time-resolved in vivo dosimetry directly in the tumor region using small luminescence detectors attached to optical-fiber cables. Significant deviations between planned and measured radiation doses will be indicators for errors or potential accidents. (more…)
At the National Veterinary Institute a 3-year PhD position in bacteriology is available from April 1st 2010.
The candidate will be placed at National Veterinary Institute, to work in the Research Group for Bacteriology and Pathology, and will also work at the Department for Veterinary Disease Biology at KU-LIFE. A residency at a research institute in USA is planned as part of the project. (more…)

***The ANU Medical School ranks on combined weighted GPA (score out of 42) and overall GAMSAT score. This means we offer interviews to people with a range of GPA/Overall GAMSAT score combinations. For the 2010 cohort, the minimum wGPA was 34 and the minimum overall GAMSAT was 55. Candidates with various combinations of the two criteria were considered for interview. Candidates should be aware that meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee interview. ***
